Took a long time to finish this, busy holidays etc and just general inertia. Done now but I’m not convinced I’ve built it for me.
The fit is fine measurement wise, but it just feels too big.Anyway, happy with how it turned out

One of the very few builds i prefer silver rims over black
Just out of curiosity: i ride a caad in sz 56 - would i need to look for a caadX in sz 54 then?

No probs a 56. I actually ride a 54 usually.

First ride out on the SystemSix of the year ahead of the storm tomorrow.
Tried some Tubolitos. rank orange valves aside , I’m impressed. Felt comfortable and rolled very nicely, noticeably better then the Race 28 tubes I had before

Amazon voucher for xmas, so i thought fuck it why not?
Plus once you buy sealant, valves, worm kits etc its not that far off the price of going tubless. Also its less messy and weighs less.

4 months in what's the verdict on the Tubolito tubes? Still positive?
-
• #89

Lots of random bits on the way, and need to lick up some white nail polish to touch up the scratches, just for protections sake.

Edit: I have to admit that, with a very few exceptions, i hate white bikes. But this one is a true stunner

Pretty much everything is on the way, mostly waiting on the new stem to get here from Taiwan.
Away to Scotland for a few days so hoping for a bumper pile of parts waiting for me when I get back.

2 years in what's the verdict on the Tubolito tubes? Still positive?

Used them on two bikes for a couple of years, no issues. Only don’t have them know as I sold the bike they’re were on

Did all the research and still got caught out by the change in steerer size for the HS stems….fffs….sigh
So, options appear to be search for an older Dale stem, go for one of those weird ass birkinGreen stems or a S-Trail.
Fit may be an issue. The S-Trail is 60mm, BG 80mm and the only Dale stem I can find is 110.
Damn
Always fascinating to see what a few tweaks to cockpit and saddle/SP can achieve
I love it
