Heart says white or mint green but head says black...
I think the answer was staring me in the face... 😍

Such a cool guitar. I have a Strat itch to scratch this year.
@Nahguavkire, I know you said you found you didn't get on with Logic X but I reckon it would be worth having another go once you've got the basics of recording workflow sorted. Drummer in the latest version of Logic is an unbelievably powerful tool and ridiculously easy to use. You can infinitely tweak patterns played by real drummers and if they still aren't doing EXACTLY what you want, you just export the region to midi and tweak in the piano roll.
The project templates are a great way of figuring out how to set up things like aux channels for effect send/returns too.

I typically keep my 3x guitars in their cases on my bedroom floor when not in use and want to make a hard case stand for them. Found a couple of pictures online which is roughly what I'm trying to do. Has anyone done similar? There are bike storage threads ...

Drummer is great, I don't know how to edit the tracks it spits out which I've found a bit frustrating... There have been a couple of times when it's come up with absolutely perfect parts and I don't have to touch it, pretty clever stuff...
Chucked my new-to-me MIJ GE7 onto the big board (because it's 12v, couldn't put it on the little 9v powered board) and it's fucking great!! I'm never buying another boost pedal again, I will now be on the hunt for cheap graphic equalisers...

@>>>>>> Right click on the region and convert to midi region. Then you just click on that to edit as normal in the piano roll. You can leave as midi or convert back to a drummer region. Also it means you can use the drummer interface to create parts then play them through other instruments and sample packs. I've got some nice add-on kits in EZ-drummer so I can play the drummer-generated midi region through that instead of the drummer kits if I want.

What's wrong with under the bed?? 🤭
I'm gonna need to get one of those guitar rack things, I really hate them but it's my own fault for buying so many guitars...
Storing hard cases is a real issue, we're building a garage once Covid dies down and I'm planning some overhead shelving to hide them away... Could probably sell a few and just keep one for each guitar shape? Probably a terrible idea, I dunno...
Nice problem to have anyway! 🙃

That board a thing of beauty man.

Oh okay, I'll explore that... I'm actually on the cusp of pulling my finger out and doing some fucking recording...

I keep guitar cases stashed under beds, under sofas, in the loo, in the coat cupboard....
Me too. Today could be the day!

They're my child substitutes, I have nothing better to do with my time... The little one looks like this now, Fuzz Repeater isn't staying... Will either take one of the fuzzes off the big board or grab something else at Tym's... And I may change the delay to a Earthquaker Dispatch Master if I can find a cheapish used one... Really liked the one I heard on the JHS Show the other day...

Is that the one knob one?

No, that was the FuzzFace thing he was talking about... I meant this...

Oh yeah. Naaaace.
Oh man. Realised all my sanding hadn’t actually broken through to raw wood. Have spend another three hours on it today. Having ascertained what the raw wood actually look like I can now see that the transitions are messy as fuck. Starting to regret having started now. Should I remove the tuners and do the whole neck? What about the decals? Opportunity to finally change the tuners?

I LOVE that Echobrain. I love a pristine BBE delay but sometimes you just want murk and noise and that thing is just perfect. I use it alongside a Strymon reverb and they compliment each other so beautifully. TC's new cheapie pedal range is absolutely smashing it.

In fact I just picked up their Dimension Chorus clone on general principle.

So my mum was cleaning out various storage cupboards and came across this bass that I used when I was in a band at school and kind of forgot that I had.
There's a lot that I like about it but it's not really anything special, other than memories associated with it - for example the hole in the body where it was hit by a drunken darts player during my last pub gig. The pick-ups etc were nothing special at the time and the pots need replacing as they're very crackly l. I'm thinking that I may get some okay pickups and pots for it and re-wire it completely. Does the hive mind think this is a silly idea?

curse you both. I've started looking at delays again. I want to have one set up for slapback (almost always on for me) and one set for weirdy space rock stuttery delay stuff. I have a couple of cheapo delays which have managed in that function and one of them has just died so it's time for a new one.

Excellent idea! Maybe even an opportunity for a lockdown project to refinish it? Remove that heavy duty poly finish and give it a bit of oil or some other nice finish?

Hi,
Looking to get rid of this combo......
Peavy 112 solo series
80w ,
Bought secondhand from Rockbottom in Croydon approx 20 years ago,
Clean and dirty channels,
Spring reverb,
Comes with a foot switch that would need wiring in.
Works but a few crackles here and there.
Any offers or swap WHY ?
Collection only Kt4........

I get what you're saying about the finish but it was always one of my favourite things about the guitar! You can't see it from the photo but it's metallic purple. Back in the day I had a pair of patent leather bovver boots that matched it perfectly!
That said, I can see it looking good with a nice purple to natural stained burst and oil finish (depending on the quality of wood underneath). Ummmm decisions.

Think I used to have the exact same amp when i Was 16. Loved it.

I have a feeling something like the EMG GZR P/J set might suit that Yamaha rather nicely? Supposed to be quite a vintage rock sound as EMG goes, and comes with pots and all. Plenty of reviews out there. Mind you it's 1 vol 1 tone so that might be an issue. Oh and my vote is for leaving the finish well alone...

Project Neck Rub continues to make slow progress. Another hour sanding yesterday. Another couple this morning and the Tru Oil arrived. One coat and I hated it. Thick, sticky, tacky, glossy. Nope. Rubbed as much as I could off. Left it drying for 6 hours hanging in a hot dry shed then sanded it off, wire wool clean and tried the Danish Oil instead. Much better. Thin, light, smells good. Grain popping and satin finish. Gonna keep applying and rubbing back for the next couple of days then re-attach and string up.

Going down to '9s as well. I'm getting old.
I picked mine up for only AU$50 used, they must be around on gumtree... I gave mine to a mate when @BleakRefs sold me his Apogee Duet...
Working on the flame guitar has got me in a tinkering mood... I wanna get rid of the terrible tort guard on my olympic white Jag, I need to replace a pickup cover as well so gonna do both at once but I'm unsure what colour to go...
Heart says white or mint green but head says black... Also, does anyone know if I'm gonna have an issue getting a standard Jag pickup cover over a Quarter Pound pickup?
