Very nice indeed, congratulations!

Not mine but my mum remarked the other day that her mum had left her a solid gold Swiss watch but that it was broken and had been sitting in it's box for years.
I wound it up and it was fine! Turns out she had forgotten it wasn't an auto...

That and the waffle strap is such a good combination.
I quite like the subtle chrome.

Thanks, yeah, the strap is an unbelievable dust magnet, as you can see in that pic, but the design and comfort couldn't be better.
The shininess isn't particularly subtle IRL, the hour markers, hands and rehaut are all high polished.

Thanks very much!

My Seagull was under a ton.
What I find amazing is that even though it is made of cheese it is inside COSC.

Ha, no, Seat Ateca. A lot of the same gubbins though.

New boots on the Speedy, I think it needs to be worn in to get rid of the ‘worn in’ look.

Not sure if sales is the 'done' thing on this thread, but I ordered three 20mm straps from strapbandits that I've decided I'm not going to use. They are in Huddersfield cloth so a nice bit of heritage if the look works for you. All quick release spring bars.
One is herringbone, one is brown glencheck (tweed), and one is 'mid grey alternate bead'. Pics can be found here https://www.strapbandits.com/collections/classic-watch-straps
I can't return as opened the package and tried them on my watches. But unworn and as new. They are £40 each but I will pass them on for £15 each if anyone wants to give them a try. If so PM me.

Damn it, missed out on a GS SBGX261 this morning. It sold for £1375. Great condition, full set, some tiny marks from normal wear.
Got me thinking though. Why don't they hold value? I believe RRP on these is/was around £2250 mark, and the ones I've seen with the 9F movement, very often sell for less than £1500. Not that I'm complaining but come on... is it just because it says ''Seiko''?
Yeah you’re spot on. Pretty watches but it’s a $2 movement. Overpriced imo
