Don't replace them with those caps. They're shit.
But some self extracting crank bolts instead

Made a few small changes to the Donohue. New stem and bars (shoot me a message if you have any interest in a broken, steel 1" ahead stem) and new chain. Rear wheel swapped with my KHS, which I'm building up single speed for my girlfriend so needed a wheel with a braking surface. Definite immediate changes to this will be a smaller gear and new tyres. Long term I'd like a new wheel set (and to return to the Angel Inn in Leeds for a crisp, refreshing pint of taddy lager and a new beer mat).

What's the benefit of this? In what situations would you want this on a drop bar bike over just riding a hardtail?
Genuine questions

When's the last time you had 'so. much. fun.' on a hardtail? And how would you feel about posting a hardtail on https://www.reddit.com/r/xbiking/ ?

When's the last time you had 'so. much. fun.' on a hardtail?
Trick question. It's impossible to not have fun on a MTB
I wouldn't post anything to Reddit

RAF themed?

Vagabond actually only clears 2.1, once you factor mudguards in it's practically anaemic on clearances.

I've ran mine with 2.3" knobbly tyres. Little tight at the back (paint eventually rubbed off at seat stay bridge) but can probably clear 2.8" at the front.
I rode the Great Divide on it and overall very happy with the choice of wide drop bars and fat tyres over a hardtail. I think the more upright position makes my arse go numb much more quickly.
