How broken.

It's a 1 bolt clamp design, managed to put a crack in it just below where the bolt goes through the face plate. Wouldn't recommend riding it as is but free to anyone who can find a use for it as welding practice/ decorative napkin holder / large coat hook.

Here it is in prommuter form
How much shit are you bringing to work?!
-
• #126356
It's not much what I'm taking to work, it's the food shop on the way home! I can stash away lots in there.

Thanks. I like that I can reasonably quickly change out the wheels for fat rubber and put the original fork back on and head off into the hills. Although now it has mudguards that's a little more faffy.

Working on a bike with Shimano's 1982's failed attempt on a aero groupset. No big succes at all, but despite that you got to love the pursuit of innovation in those days. Frame was resprayed at home, some parts NOS, some were used. Saddle was recovered and the AX is embroided onto the leather.

Please tell me you've sourced the helmet. I'm sure Bioracer can make you a replica skinsuit.

That skinsuit and helmet couldn't look more Japanese. Love it.

• #126366
That would really finish it off but unfortunately I don't have the helmet. Yet :)

This is amazing! Great work. Did you do the saddle recovering yourself?

I have two other bikes with mudguards, so I'm looking to build mine up without.. Maybe even get a carbon fork like the CINQ one in time, and then fat slicks for comfort at speed.

You have done a fantastic job!
I have a Motobecane Aero2 in France which has a full Ax groupset. Took me long enough to find new hoods!!

A good friends of mine is orthopedist, he recovers saddles for me.
There another guy in Belgium who just started a business in saddles etc. You can find him at Instagram : kontour.cc . Definitely worth checking!
Nah get them blue, make them pop
