I went out last year?
-
• #380
Welcome back. We missed you!
-
• #381
I got myself a life, but it’s over now.

• #382
Do you remember a Roydon TNRC when for some reason we cycled off and rode back down the Lea Valley instead? That was fun.
-
• #383
More KIDS?!?!?
-
• #384
Absolutely not.
-
• #385
Yes. It was fun. I mentioned it on a long walk with my wife on a very hot day a few years ago. We criss-crossed that road on a circular route from Stanstead Abbotts.

• #387
Yes that what I was talking about

He embodies all of them.

This was his face the moment he heard you were joining Zwift

Maybe give TrainerRoad a go, I didn't think I was interested in following a training plan either and I'm still pretty slack at it - I skip sessions, do them on different days etc. - but there are plenty of workout options and it makes it interesting enough for me.
I haven't tried Sufferfest but it doesn't appeal and I find Zwift far too choppy.
Welcome back @BringMeMyFix!

Hello @Fox & @Oliver Schick
@Bainbridge - He needn't worry. I have six weeks (injuries aside) to try to undo six years of not cycling. The advantage of putting imagined cycling expenses in the virtual penny jar all that time is I've been able to order a Wattbike Atom for shared family fitness duties. I know there are idiosyncrasies which make it rubbish for Zwift racing, but I couldn't really give a fuck about that as I do my sprinting on the athletics track in the real world. I just need some distraction indoors aside from the sound of my decade old chain and cassette disintegrating – like a Basinski track.

I think I've pulled all of those faces at some point.

I may even end up on Zwift if I get the requisite tech…
Ffs. One more person to fly past me on the electronic super highway.

Good buy!

I’d rather go back to watching some footage from someone riding up Stelvio or that on youtube.
Yep.
Have you tried the real video stuff that some of the other companies offer? RGT and check the turbo training thread for other suggestions that I can't remember. Oh yeah FulGaz?
-
• #396
I still have his early free videos and one of them is a crit circuit I used to race every week for years so sometimes I'll throw that on and recall my
stunning victoriesgrounding pedals through fast corners. -
• #397
The light blue one with the small big ring that's now so on trend for us ultra lot?
-
• #398
Yeah. I think it's currently 47/39 with a 23/13, 9spd. The cassette's fucked. Faith got on it the other day having coming from three months of spin biking at a local gym, started pedalling and said, "THIS FEELS TERRIBLE!"
Some people are so pedantic about their set-up.
-
• #399
I used to have a 9spd DA cassette kicking around here I could've given you. I think it ended up going on ebay though, I'll check with my sales consultant.

Thanks, but don't worry about it. It's not got long to last, and my current rule is that (real) bike parts travel in one direction only: out the door.
Couple of good ones last year around this time.
