• Well done @HoKe - this looks great. I think you did the right thing getting it fixed properly so I'm glad you didn't listen to me.

    I'm not surprised you're finding those brakes crap. If only you knew a fellow forumunger who was selling a very nice set because he's putting a modern groupset on his Colnago ;)

  • 50/50 i guess, yes I'm happy it is fixed, but annoyed how long it took repair and respray properly.

    @Fox you selling a pair? I've actually changed the shoes and pads and it does make a major difference as @billygoat8 and @Lolo said.

    I took it down the road and the braking has improved so much i couldn't believe it. Considering it a heavy bike and wheels it stops immediately. Properly not as nice as dual pivot but amazingly well considering it is a single pivot.

    Still in two minds of getting 7403 brakes, as the looks of the 7402 suits the bike of this period. But gathering parts of 9000's to hopefully upgrade the parts and wheels eventually.
