WTB Vigilante; the local dual racing scene up here in Sheffield either swears by them, or swears at them (if you don't have one).

Where's your custom titanium MTB?

Drop bar conversion for an MTB. I'm running a 1x10 with a deore rear mech and avid mechanical discs
Can I just use any regular drop bar levers?
Will a Shimano brifter work with the rear mechlr am I going to have to change the mech with the shifter?
Thanks

MTB and road cable disc breaks have different pull ratios.
Shimano mechs up to 9 speed are road compatible, anything newer you'll need a jtech adapter. -

I think 9spd Shimano road is compatible with 9spd Shimano mtb. 10spd isn't cross-compatible afaik (which isn't particularly far).

Shimano 10-speed road shifters will work with a 9-speed Shimano MTB mech. Avoid anything 10s MTB and 11s road and it should work.
Important caveat: 10s Tiagra (I think) has the same cable pull ratio as 11s road and will not work
(Check the pull ratios for yourself before you buy anything though, just in case)

Shimano 10-speed road shifters will work with a 9-speed Shimano MTB mech
That sounds correct too.

I’m missing riding my MTB more and more. I’m riding Zwift fairly often - I’ve put more miles on the new turbo in a couple of weeks than I put on the old one in a couple of years - but that doesn’t scratch the off-road itch at all.

Hmm so I can't use the cassette and deore rear mech (10sp) with drop bar shifters and road levers won't work with my discs...
So the only way is a new road disc setup and a road cassette, shifters and derailer?

Find some urban MTB? Huck to flat off stairsets, jumps off dirt banks?

You could bodge shifting with jtech adapter and get just the callipers.

Went on Monday and today, there's still some mysterious ponds, it's mostly dry now, but very lumpy.

The least you'd get offered for this as a trade-in is £100, therefore it is perfectly logical for me, a stranger, to offer to pay you £20 less than the minimum you would receive for taking it to a shop.
£80, posted. Final offer.
