  • Anyone desire a pair of brakes? New style, one used one new. Gloss black rear triangle or a 6 speed wheel?

    Electric is going alfine disc.

  • I would take a look at the brakes. How much are you thinking?

  • actually have a pair of new ones! RRP is £75, pair posted for £50?

  • After 3 months commuting back and forward back from work and not being able to tuck my Brompton away due to the carbon seatpost limitations. I’ve decided to switch back to the steel with the standard sizing (which is bang on the limit for my short little legs so I don’t need those plastic adjusters)

  • I stand by a previous statement that Bronptons are the most Tory bike.

  • The company have previous, don't they? I vaguely recall them backing some of Dave from PR's wheezes back when - giving employees shares in exchange for trading away some employment rights or something like that?

  • We may be among the few who haven't

  • Didn't boris have a brompton and was photographed riding with a child (maybe his) sitting on the rack. Or is my brain mush.

  • Fun today;

    rear frame swap

Alfine 11 build + Alfine 8 disc dyno started!
    Both for stock.

  • Rear wheel on my M2L is slightly out of true, any advice?
No obvious signs of damage, or loose spokes.

  • Bit of stupid question really I s'pose!
That's what I thought, see about getting it trued!

  • Potential for it to get worse if I ignore & continue to ride it?

  • Apparently for 2020, there will be two brand new types of Brompton coming out.

    • Titanium frame bike, with carbon forks and stays with a standard headset 1 1/8 headset with 31.8 handlebar/stem clamp. Plus, aluminium seat post instead of the traditional steel. (Rumoured to be weighing around 6kg)

    • Second is a steel bike, but to accommodate disc brakes with 20-inch wheels.

All looking like it will be an exciting 2020, granted if they can meet their target for August (which I highly doubt).

  • Very interesting. Do you have a source for that?

I'd be torn on which I would want of those two I imagine

  • I know some guys who are working at HQ.
