Don't scrub too hard.
Interesting to look at the ergonomics. They really are excellent for the intended purpose.

yeah, just don't do it, especially not for taking a photo of a watch. I didn't mention it the first car watch photo you posted, but the second time you do it just shows you think it's fine and it's not. don't do it

If I remember correctly I was stuck in traffic when I took that first photo. Point made and noted, now let’s please move on.

Yeah, lots of good Grand Seiko GMTs at the moment., that you can actually buy. But, if you have your heart set on the GMT, I'm not sure buying another will scratch that itch...?

There's an okay looking Omega with a true GMT. Saxonia Dual Time, is probably the nicest dual time.
Have you thought about an Explorer II? Blackface looks quite low key in the flesh and probably suits your style*. Or polar for a sportier look (according to watch blogs).
*nice orange jumper, pre-red trousers era obvs.

Do you care if the GMT is a "true" GMT (ie you can move the main hour hand in hourly increments without stopping the watch) or not?
Do you care if the watch is automatic or not?
