It’s usually IIII and not IV on a watch / clock dial, supposedly to balance the XIII on the other side.

By all accounts it’s the original colour, looks great against the 18ct Au.
I don’t do Arabic numerals let alone Roman but the way they’re applied and in proportion means there’s always an exception!
It’s $13K in case anyone wanted to loan me the wedge. -

Delboy, is that you?

I'm hoping to buy a president one day. It's pretty much my grail watch. I think that on balance I prefer the gold dial ones though.

The new 36mm ones are very sharp. Real guilty pleasure stuff.

Lost the winder off my Timex again. 4th time at least. Gets caught when putting a backpack on. Tedious.
I would like a Seiko SKX divers watch, but, for now what under £20 watch is there - Casio F91 surely is the only choice?

• #37667
Look at Argos online, loads of choice for under £20.

I may be going mad but have a look at men’s watches on Amazon. View by ‘lowest price’. There would appear to be quite a lot of watched costing 1p! P+P is £2.99 so £3 total. If you up your budget to £25 there are a few nice looking watches around that price.
I’m rather surprised myself. -

there's a few shockers too! i think the casio for £7.98, Prime delivery arriving Tuesday is the one. Someone on here has the pink one I think.......?
-
• #37670
I believe I sold someone a pink one for a forum donation, and also gave away a second pink bomber to a friend. He refuses to wear it.

Some friend.
Do you know if it takes a nato strap?
-
• #37672
I don’t remember. Might be 16mm rather than 18mm on the lugs. Whatever it is, it’s a really shallow fitting so you risk killing the plastic or pinging spring bars across the room.

This just ended. I liked it. Thought id add it due to the gold 'president' posted earlier. The end of the description is quite enjoyable.

I have a Timex Ironman Watch. It is bulletproof. Cost me around £22 on amazon but it was on offer - usual price is about £44. I see they have a Timex Marathon for about £24 - might be worth a look.

i think so. lovely thanks!
Also anyone interested in a first generation Timefactors PRS-25 Smiths Everest (the 40mm acrylic version)?
Pretty good condition, a few light swirlies and brush marks to the polished bezel and clasp but no dents or dings. I can’t find any paperwork (there was only a receipt and a paper card), unusual for me to chuck anything but there you go, if you divulge your email I’ll forward the original purchase confirmation from August 2016.
So there’s the travel case, bracelet and spare links, cloth and I’ll add in a green Watch Gecko green zuludiver strap and I gave the crystal a quick buff with polywatch. £180 or straight trade for the Rolex 18038 above.
