It's gunked up with suncream and beer and what have you at the moment. I reckon a couple of minutes in an ultrasonic cleaner should get rid of that without making much difference to the patina.

It was a long wait but fortunately not quite that long!

How do you like the Bulova? I keep getting tempted as a Speedmaster is still out of budget.

New from Hamilton. Caliber based on the ETA 2801. Price a bit high vs the hand wound Khaki Mechanical Field though at $845. Perhaps $100 less and they're onto a winner. Period correct size though. Good job.

Of course I know you're right. Can't help thinking that I'll never be able to justify spending big money on a proper watch though.

I did that with my bronze one once. Not doing it again!

Exactly my dilemma, did consider saving up etc but in the end got the Bulova at a very competitive price.

Really happy with the decision, not at all scared to wear it on a daily basis and the rubber strap was a definite upgrade (£13 well spent).

f sake now I'm pondering one (isofrane.) someone tell me my skx will look this good on one...

No reason why you can't buy a cheapy silicon one to test it out before spunking on the isofrane...

Was that dial always navy blue or has it faded? I’m liking that a lot, even the Roman numerals, and I don’t like Roman numerals.
