So then in reality, it will be nibbling round the edges. But the implication for the voting Tories is there in the subtext right enough.

It’s a fairly basic slang for “whites only”, as most Gammon believe Australia to be 100% English speaking white folk (with some Aborigines in the outback somewhere, providing scenery for holidays).

It’s meaningless in terms of actual details, there’s absolutely no point comparing them as that’s not the point of the message.

Obviously you shouldn't generalise...
