All of these watches are horrible and you have all lost your minds.

You know me so well

If only they had the full gold in auto and they were sapphire instead of mineral glass...
Anyway this is all distracting me from saving up for my El Primero.

Why can't I find it in that colour scheme?
Its the only one Ive seen so far that I like.
Is there a code for it or something?

I really like this new El Primero revival they're doing, apart from the rotated date window. Such a shame. Retro ladder bracelet is cool.

Heading to Orlando soon. Has anyone any pointers in relation to watch shops there? Doubt I will be buying but I like to browse.

I paypaled it. I wasn't comfortable giving my credit card details at the time, but if I were to buy again I would. The rep world is surprisingly honourable.

What did you get?

Like Speedmaster, can’t afford Speedmaster. What’s the thoughts on Speedmaster Reduced?
-
• #36316
The obvious choice is the Bulova
-
• #36317
Nice... But you'll still want the speedmaster. Wait. I have faced the same internal dialogue.

I also highly recommend the Bulova moonwatch. Very well made, looks great, wears well, good quartz movement (with high frequency) and was mission flown also.
I'm a big moonwatch fan but Bulova have done really well with this re edition.
The reduced is ok, but you will regret it if you truly hanker after a moonwatch.

@Stonehedge are you going to order a Baltic aquascaphe? Orders open tomorrow. The first numbered batch from last year have been really well received.

It really is a ripper, and I wish I was but my new Junghans is my last new watch for a while. Have a lot of big expenses going on right now.
-
• #36321
Solid advice above - Bulova looks great but as Stonehedge says, I’d still hanker after the real thing rather than the homage.
Looks like I’ll be keeping my powder dry for a while......
-
• #36322
Ja, your Junghans is really quite special. There are only a couple of watches I would consider to be worthy of the “one watch collection” and in gold it makes the list IMO :)

This is the one you just ordered from Liberty? Very nice. For some reason I thought the dial was blue in the pics on their website.

The Bulova is the real thing as much as an Omega is the real thing.
Both went to the moon. -

Sorry, I wasn't clear.
I was saying that you'd hanker after the real moonwatch if you bought a reduced, not if you bought the Bulova. The Bulova is a hell of a watch in its own right, and not a homage. It flew with NASA. If I couldn't afford a moonwatch, I'd buy the Bulova without hesitation.
Not the auto version?
