My continued absence from Wests was not helped yesterday by my frame disassembling itself mid-commute. Keen to catch up with everyone soon (although sadly not next week) including @skydancer and @moorhen

You OK, Mate?
Teeth intact?'frame disassembling itself'; we warned you about too much Drillium!
Worth saving, (SS coupler?),
or are you looking out for a replacement? -

Mrs NLL will be pleased. She says she will come if we have a summer in the garden one at The Duke of Sussex. Dogs will be in attendance.
Also, if we go to the Red Lion she wants to join us for pizza.

"Disassembling" is never very good but rarely as bad as dissembling

Yes long overdue.
Let's fix a date?
Thursday 30th April would work for us -

All fine, no need for dentistry. Felt a bit weird with strange shimmying and gears rattling unexpectedly. Finally worked out that this had happened. No idea if its weldable. Very likely that I'm in the market for a new dadbike.

Relieved to hear you are intact even if the bike isn't.
Was this the everyday commuter with the 'tt' bars? -

'Wests' is a self-managing concept.
Anyone can, (and, indeed, should), suggest the venue.I merely step into the deafening void on occasion.

I don't think 30th is on for me as I have family visiting. I'll try to firm up a Thursday after that.

Crabtree and Duke Of Sussex both work for me. The Red Lion pizzeria upsets me. I can't help remembering the days when it used to be a pub :(

The Red Lion pizzeria upsets me
I was expecting this comment.
With the light evenings, perhaps we could support @metrocammell,
(and build up some goodwill if Wests 12th birthday ends up here),
by dining on the fine pizzas, then riding on to another estanblishment
for further drinks? -

family visiting
No problem, bring them along.

@NorthLondonLight @Sifta
Was this the elusive 8th British European finalist, (before Spurs)?

I dont do trick questions, it was Leeds United.
Recapping
Celtic, ManUtd, Liverpool, Notts Forest, Aston Villa, Arse, Chelsea and now the mighty THFC -

Aaah!
I obviously missed the bit of the conversation where this was resolved. -
• #26220
It wasnt resolved in the conversation, I'd completely forgotten that Leeds did rule or rather kick to death English football for a while.
I've a vague recollection it was even rougher/more violent than the famous 1967 final won by Celtic.

Hope to make it this week.

Does the weather suggest a trip to the riverside?

Has a decision been made for tonight?

Crabtree is good for me?
Yep,
I'm hiding in plain sight,
the tastiest fruit that grows in the UK,
and,
the last to be picked,
(often off the floor after a hard frost in early November),
Just the one tree in Ruislip, (that I know of),
and,
last year was a dismal harvest.
