Would probably go for the castle, but I may have to revise this to next week depending on how late my work drinks go tomorrow evening...

Your time is probably better invested in cementing work relationships,
than, hearing of the tribulations of a peripheral borough.

I've not got your knowledge of local hostelries, where is The Castle?

Locality is a moot point.
The Castle North Acton is 'a' local for @skydancer & @moorhen.
(although I did work just up the road back in the early '90s).
Wests visited in 2018 a couple of times to give support to the 'Save The Castle' campaign.
Should you join us, you will soon see how the low-rise Castle no longer fits the developers vision for this large roundabout.

Never really tried Acton

Makes mental note; NLL neither Chelsea nor Arsenal fan,
(nor, for completeness Frankfurt nor Valencia).

My allegiance lies at the other end of Seven Sisters Road to the Emirates and is rather given away by my not being a Gooner.

I'm happy with Red Lion as am likely to be peckish but equally at home with The Eagle in Askew Road

Looks like we are trying the Aeronaut, Acton (but with an option to bale to other locals)

Plenty of food choices along Acton High Street.
