People here are stilling riding on the road brakeless? Fair enough.

police car tooted at me for being in the middle of the road and blocking their way, no sirens or emergency just classic 'I'm in a car you need to move' bollocks. Driver sort of pulled up to the left of me as I was indicating right and started asking about where my brakes were but then realised that I had a rear brake, front brake and was riding fixed. he promptly fucked off before finishing his sentence. /csb

About 12 of them, a handful of those brakeless. So proportionally brklzz is more common now.

You heard it here first, it's now non-conformist (and therefore cool) to ride two brakes...

Or it's just hat everyone bought a gravel bike that doesn't ever see gravel.

Gravel is the new fixed gear folks. Fixie-foos are now gravel grinders.

I'm glad, however, that we can all still bond over our hatred of e-bikes.

I still ride mine to the pub, but don't tell any of the gravel, 650B, SRAM roadie, MTB crew... ;)

I'm sure that there was a 650b brklzz Steamroller in the Surly thread a few months back. That thing was rad - best (or worst) of both worlds.

Was telling a friend about this last night and he told me about the time he crashed in to an armed police officer.

Apparently going along the mall, road was closed so hopped on to the pavement, approaches a cop walking toward him carrying an mp5, goes to go around him but the officer moves in to his path, my mate goes straight in to him and they both end up on the floor.
Somehow my mate got away from this without issue other than being shouted at whilst riding away.

I don't get people who do this, you're just gonna get yourself hurt.

I rarely encountered police officers unless they remarked upon my impeccable riding.

I had a copper tell me he thought riding just fixed with out a front brake on the street was pretty "impressive" and then go on and tell me used to race cyclespeedway as a youth.

There's more people on the road, riding their sweet hybrids with no functioning brakes, than brakeless fixed gear riders.
