TLDR: what’s the consensus for £30ish usb front light these days? Prepared to go a little more if I can get something suitable for mtbing...
Also, has anyone come up with a good downlighting solution to go under a basket to deal with the shadow? -

Moon meteor (storm pro or vortex pro) probably the cheapest I'd want to cycle off road with. Evans have the former on clearance for £54, which is a bit of a steal

Rear hope district runs for 4 days constant .

Is that the huge one? Remember seeing it many years ago and liking it, not for its outright brightness more its size and non dazzling "hue" that it gives us. Tonnes of visbiltiy

Anyone got a source for replacement battery holders to fit a hope vision one? The ones I can see online have weird sticky outy contact things whilst the original doesn't.

hope vision one
STW mentioned this guy doing replacement batteries for them. Perhaps he can source OG battery mounts?

Have you tried Hope directly? They respond quickly and will probably send one out gratis.

Dredge! But can I ask how you have the TraceR mounted to your seat stays? Did you get the Aero mount?
Need to do they same thing as I run a Carradice.
-
• #4968
Nah, I wrapped a bit of old inner tube around a seat stay and mounted it to that. Points upwards a bit, but better than nothing.
-
• #4969
Dammit, I just chucked an old inner tube, time to route through the bin!

It's one of the SQR mounted ones, so I don't think that would work?
-
• #4972
Yes. It won’t work.
This might though:
I sugrued a magnet to a light and put a pair of similar magnets inside and outside the bag. Take the light off and the pair of magnets stay in place on the bag. A bit of a bodge but it works well. I got the magnets online from Emagnets.

Magnets?
That's a fantastic bodge in fairness, does the light stay still?
-
• #4974
Is there not a light loop on the back of that? I'm sure my SQR slim has one.

There is but the nature of the mount on the back of the light would mean that it would be bouncing all over the place.
Has anyone with the Bikehut front lights that come with an integrated Garmin / out front mount managed to bodge it for use with a Wahoo? I clipped the edges so that the Wahoo fits in, but I can't rotate the puck correctly because the screws to keep it all together are horizontal, not vertical, and can't be moved position. Is there a way to fix it without buying a new mount?
