  • I went to see Albert Lee tonight... played great, his amp sounded like shit but boy can he still sing.

The only genuine B-bender Breezysound I ever saw was a Custom, bound sunburst, maple neck. £400 IIRC about 10 years ago. Why didn't I buy it...

  • Great question... I'm gonna put out a search for one, bet they're cheap as chips in Japan...

  • The one when I bought mine (sadly ten years ago too) was £450.

    Nice butterscotch one.

  • A B-bender TL80 sold on Reverb for AU$1,500 a year ago... Not a bad price...

There's a guy in Perth who wants that for a very dodgy looking MIJ Fender neck/no name body B-bender, he'll probably take less cuz it's been up for ages but it could be a total turkey... He's lost the plate for the back as well which is a bit shit...

  • Dream guitar right here...

  • Why only the B-String?

  • S'pose 'cos it's the most useful/adaptable one to pull, overall. You can add a semi-tone G-bender but it needs a different mech, usually a hip lever sticking out backwards from the bottom strap button area.

One day somebody will probably perfect a servo multibender with wireless to a footpedal, like a neat version of this... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fSQ9Dg65EFo

  • That's awesome...

  • My magick is strong, this popped up eleven hours ago... Ooh boy...

  • Is that a good price? Don't really know much about colonial money.

Where are the best places for buying second hand guitars? I've had a good look on EBay and Reverb but there must be some other good places - forums, Facebook groups, etc.

  • You can get lucky on eBay if you’re patient, Facebook marketplace is better than the groups (where people generally ask top whack) but choice can be limited.
Harmony central used to be pretty good and there’s always gearsluts too.

  • A bit spendy but not bad, they aren't cheap things but I suspect I could get a new Nashville Tele (which I don't like) for that... The guy is selling another two or three guitars so he clearly needs cash, might put a few things up for sale and lowball him, see what happens...

In the meantime, this is lovely... B-bender acoustic played by Gene Parsons himself backed by Marty Stuart playing Clarence's guitar!

  • Yeah man. Marty Stuart looks like a country and western Peter Stringfellow but holy shit can he play. Super tasty.

  • I accidentally bought a Rat.

  • I've got this on the way:

  • I'm looking forward to it. By all accounts they sound amazing but weigh a fucking tonne.

I've already had my head turned by something else though, which I had seen, discounted, and now realised I might actually want more.

  • I never liked them, we had one in the band BITD... My bandmate loved it but I stuck with my Guv'nor...

What you gonna use it for? Did you sell the Fuzz Factory?

  • What's the something else? Pics or STFU...

  • What if someone else buys it though?

  • Did you buy the B-bender?

  • Good point... I haven't got any money... That said, I'm on my way into Tym's to get hold of one of these today... Jumbo Tonebender on one side, Triangle Muff on the other...

  • I just had a read about those pedals, how does it sound?

  • I'm not a huge Muff fan but love the later Tonebenders, his pedals are bloody great!

  • In my hands and on my board... Sounds great, really gnarly...
