I think that's horrifically ugly, but I do like the tessalation and the look of the tremolo system.

Tim says he's gonna start selling them soon, I'm overdue a visit, need to get the flame guitar fixed up...
-
• #6554
yeah, his gram says he was bombarded with buy requests for this one, which he made for an employee that's leaving...I've lusted after a Moswrong since I lived in Qld, but couldn't justify another electric

I'm not a huge fan of them TBH, he does make some great things but I'm a boring old vintage guitar knob... I wonder who's leaving?
-
• #6556
Holy fuck, Donnie is leaving!!! I know his girlfriend is down in Tassie, he must be joining her... That's gonna hurt the Brisbane music scene, he's a total legend of a guitar player, drummer, bassist... I'll have to pop down asap to say goodbye...

Very nice, cheapy?

What is it?
Are pawn shops worth looking in for guitars? Any in particular that people would recommend?
-
• #6560
dude! so lucky was it in Brighton? I've wanted one of these since they came out around 96. they got reissued around 2003 I think, do you know if it's one of the first run?

Jagstang?

Gonna go for StewMac vintage style staggered for the tele.
Thus making the body, neck, control plate and few electrical components the only original parts. Trigger's broom.

I've been watching a lot of stewmac videos recently, I'd like to make myself an Esquire... I'd buy the bits, obvs, but I'd put it together myself...
Or maybe I should just save myself the bother and get a dodgy Chinese one for a couple of bucks...

@Fatberg Si, Jagstang. Impulse buy, rad shape.
@tommmmmmm I reckon pawn shops are great places to look for guitars and amps and all sorts of music equipment. They're often looking to shift stuff through and they're often less concerned about the details.
@Dogtemple Yep, London Road :) Come round for a twang if you're keen? It's a re-issue from 2003 going by the serial number and the internet. I was hoping for an original but you can't have everything.
@>>>>>> £450, so a bit less than these go for usually, on account of its tattiness. I'm going to do a few things to it but honestly I just like looking at it. If I don't end up playing it much then it's not the end of the world. Already eyeing up Mustangs and Duo-Sonics for swaps tho.

Nice one! They look fun...
I'm now looking at B-bender telecasters... Again... Silly as I haven't got a pot to piss in at the moment... Dream guitar...

I really want an Ibanez AR50 or one of their other big weighty early 80s Artist guitars.
There's a nice one for sale not far away but I don't really like cherry sunburst. Holding out for a black one.
Any leads?

I used to make Esquires from pawn shop Squier Tele’s. Yank a pickup out, 3 barrel brass bridge in. Done.
-
• #6568
That's what I'm looking at, not so easy to find out here tho'... I need a friend in Tokyo, dirt cheap out there...
-
• #6569
I really want a B-bender tho'... 🙃

Great portrait of Carol Kaye! Is there a website for the artist at all?

Only just saw this,
Took my Tele into Kevin last year for a setup, really nice guy - spoke for a good while about everything he had going on in the shop (it's like a treasure chest in there) and the Tele came back better than ever.

Just picked up a £50 Squire Strat and gig bag for bike-lesson purposes. Haven’t looked at it properly yet as had to go to guitar making class tonight. Looking forward to a play and a fettle. Bag does bonk me on the head though, so maybe I need some more upright bars and a shorter stem!

This is great.
When I bought my Tokai, the woman selling it whose husband had passed had a matching B-bender Breezysound she really wanted me to buy. I couldn't think of a reason why I wanted it other than the novelty, and I still don't know what use I'd have made of it. It was pretty fun to play around on though.

Please go back and get it for me!!! 🖤🖤🖤
I used to have a Breezysound, heavy as fuck and used to cut myself on the ashtray bridge all the time... Let it go in the end...
so much want
