I looked into bulk loading a while back. You CAN save money, but not much, DX coded re-spoolable canisters are more pricey, and you can risk losing money if you fuck it up and accidentally exposing a whole roll/the bulk roll
Edit: mi7rennie knows more than me. If he says its worth it it probably is. Just not for me atm :)

Yeah my plan was to just go to a place that develops and just ask them for a bunch of random canisters and sort them into ISOs for DX codes and then only use ones with the intended DX in point and shoots but whatever I want in another 35mm
The risk of exposing the whole roll I would guess is fairly low anyway.
@miro_o @mi7rennie how difficult would it be to do it inside a dark bag to reduce any potential film wastage?
And what loaders do you use? Is there any reason not to just get the £30ish unbranded ones?
Does anyone roll their own film here?
And has anyone shot Ilford Pan 400, it’s not generally available here but ive found a shop selling it in both 36 frame rolls and bulk rolls.
Hoping to get into developing and probably bulk rolling my own film this next few months, possibly printing if I can figure out a darkroom space (or find a community one in Manchester)
