So that is cat 6 cabling to go to amp, tv, skybox, dvd and projector
Chord Leyline cable to the ceiling and rear speakers
2 Subwoofer leads
Ceiling has been reinforced for the projector already and the cables are now all safely behind plasterboard.
Audioquest pearl HDMI cable to connect AV processor to projector
I have paid for my amp and ordered ceiling speakers, front speakers, centre speaker and Chord Odyssey cables for the front and centre speakers.
Have a projector and screen and from test set up will have over a 100" (hypotenuse) image on the wall.
There are also cables for ceiling speakers in the kitchen, dining and sitting rooms, this is a later project, but it means the Bluos functionality of the AV amp will enable hi quality streaming to the rest of the house. All cables are now behind plaster board (except the front and centre speakers - front speaker cables will run behind skirting board and the centre speaker will go direct from amp to speaker)

Do you have to worry about any interference with it all going in the same ducting? I know Cat 6 and power don't like running next to each other, but not guess none of yours have that issue?
-

The cat 6 should be shielded iirc. also the cat 6 is running in the ducting with the speaker and HDMI cables, power is in the next ducting)

Ah good stuff! looking forward to see what it all looks like in the end, I have a long term plan to turn one of the old cow sheds into a cinema, ideally with removable seats...

It's great, about 20m by 4m, currently my workshop, but at some point will put a new roof on it and turn it into a multi use party barn...

That's quite a lot of toe in on those monitors!

It’s not as extreme as it looks, the tweeters are directly aimed at your ears if you’re at the desk and only about 20% off an equilateral triangle. I could pull them in from the corners but the imaging is so good I don’t want to mess with it too much!

Looks awesome. I just came out of a work tunnel, got some time before the next one, let’s grab a pint next week?

I had most of it in boxes in London, feels good to have it all ready to go!

If anyone is after a pair of really good active bookshelf speakers, I am shifting my Meridian M30. They are just a tiny bit too deep for what i need them for, which is a shame.
I have used them straight out of an iphone, with a passive pre and with an active pre and they are fantastic.
they don't go to powerhouse loud with the phone or a passive. i would recommend an active pre for best results.
£200 - no amps required! happy to demo.
not bad condition - a couple of scratches.
original boxes and power leads incl

Immensely cool.
I am very interested to know what the soundstage and imaging is like with those. Seems crazy to me to have so many different driver directions. But I know nothing, obviously.
Have you fired them up yet?

i finally finished the LDR passive pre amp!!! i had to send it off to The Dude to get it sorted, but i ran it through some tiny little class d amps (also built by The Dude) and it is massively awesome. Highly recommended
turns out my knobs are too big. les paul knobs are 6mm, strat knobs are 1/4" so i am waiting for a smaller knob

An issue some on here may have. I have loads of stuff plugged in to the mains round the back of my AV setup (going on for 20 plugs last time I counted). Any suggestions for a neat solution to tidy it all up (and also avoid it setting on fire, interfering with stuff, etc)?
Keep us updated @dancing james I love seeing projects like this come together.
