Is there a way of displaying % of FTP with a rolling average on the 800? Can't see any options for it.

Sorted it with the YACF guy's fixed file + Golden Cheetah export in TrainingPeaks format. Probably lost some of the data but got enough of it to look realistic.

My Forerunner 15 is shit at getting GPS lock (>5 minutes). I've tried a factory reset, is there anything else I can try?

My FR10 took an age and was one of the reasons I sold it, FR610 the same. My910xt is still going strong after 4 years of near-daily abuse. Takes about 30secs to get a GPS lock.

Look out for a 2nd hand 310xt - They'll be cheap, battery lasts ages and will never die.

I have been using a Garmin 520 and plugging in to an external power source to keep running over long rides. The unit itself stays on, and keeps operating while charging. But the trace it then outputs seems to cut out as you can see from the below. Has anyone else experienced this or have any ideas to resolve (outside of buying a wahoo)

Mine also continues to be fine. So far it has not lost an activity, which makes it unique in my fairly extensive Garmin experience.

With Wifi/Bluetooth transfers, do you have to use Garmin Connect?
Is there any way to make the Garmin 1030 filesystem available, wirelessly, to a PC without shitty Garmin software?

My USB port is dying (has to be at just the right angle to charge) and the battery life is terrible now. I've had it for 3 years and it's been bulletproof, but might be time for a new one.

Click "Upload New Ride" in History > Rides page. What's it supposed to do? Does it upload to Garmin Connect? I can't see any new rides in Garmin Connect.

LiveTrack is no longer working because I refused to give Garmin access to my contacts. Fucking fucks, my options are paying for Strava or giving up the data of everyone in my address book. It was still working ~two weeks ago, mind.

What's the Permissions tool that allows you to provide a false set of contacts or false location to apps that request it? Was on Android. Probably VB talking about it in Encrypt thread.

This update caught me out on a recent audax, when an app glitch meant I couldn't grant access – it wasn't in the Privacy list. Fixed by reinstalling at home.

However, I'm not sure this permission request means Garmin is hoovering up your contacts list by default – it may just be a case of complying with iOS permissions, since the app needs your contacts for sharing LiveTrack updates and Apple is careful about such things. I may just being charitable with this, though...

It worked without the permission first, though.

I guess I'm extra skeptical today because the Intel driver update thingy was casually asking permission to track everything on my laptop.
