That looks like a fun mod. I definitely have neither the tools nor the stones to help though. My guess is that any watch repairer would want to service the inbound movement but wouldn't charge extra for swapping the movement over as they were doing the service. If you're using a new movement you might even want to do it yourself? A hand press is only £15, other than a clean workbench what else would you need?

what else would you need?
An uninterrupted period of time to do it!
Yeah I thought I'd ask in case it was something you were interested in.
After this watches lacklustre performance I would probably want the unbound movement to be serviced or checked over. I just need to find someone not too expensive. As much as I enjoy the watch - especially now with the bracelet, which I think has really made it - there's a point at which a cheap modified seiko becomes a false economy... although until my home insurance comes back down I wouldn't want any other watch.
@freddo or @Stonehedge would either of you be up from swapping a 6R15 or NE15 into a SKX013?

My watch's timekeeping isn't great, but in particular every now and then it seems to drop 5-10mins. I figured a movement swap wouldn't be much different in price to a service.
