Thanks. It’ll do for now. Still looking for the best leather, but this has been comfortable all afternoon.

The bracelet arrived, so I'll try and get a photo up. Thanks again for sorting that out. .
Unfortunately I can't find any of the useful bits of my budget watch kit, and the end links fit is so flush I can manage It with a sharp knife. If any one has any ideas of other household tools I could use, please shout.
I ve also hopefully got a coke bezel which I haven't been able to unwrap yet.

Finger nails ftw.
Also withe the coke bezel gingerly balanced on top.
Got to say the Internet is correct about these straps. If you want an oyster for a seiko, one from this line is what you should be buying. Rather than gushing about all the good stuff which everyone mentions, I'll just flag a couple of - ives. 1) screws for removable links are not all on the same side, 2) the end link brushing isn't a 100% match - but it is pretty close, 3) the end links aren't a 100% flush fit witj the lugs - although Idk if it would be possible allowing for movement.
Oddly having a bracelet has made me like the polished hands much more. Swapping them along with a possible movement swap was going to be my next move... Now I'm not so sure.
Sorry for the poor quality photos.
And thanks again to JB!

My pleasure! Glad it got to you safely.
You’re right - that looks really nice indeed. Will be adding one to the list for my Turtle I reckon.

That is nice. The bracelet changes the whole look and it’s not too shiny.

What's people's thoughts on the coke bezel vs the OG black?
I really can't decide which looks better.

I really would like a dr pepper bezel. All this talk of coke and pepsi, what’s the worst that could happen?

Avoid the master cobbler in Islington at all costs whatever you do.
My watch strap on a cheapish daily watch broke shortly before an interview I had in London, and I’d come down the night before to stay with my sister. Morning of the interview, I went to ‘The Master Cobbler’ in Islington to get it fixed for convenience. £15.95 new for the strap, fitted, fine. I walked out shop 10m, checked the time, the strap disconnected, and it fell off, smashing the watch face. I went back in, and after an unnecessarily long discussion, they agreed to fix the screen FOC. Would take a few days - so my sister would have to go and pick it up as I went back to Sheffield.Firstly, they didn’t ring to say it was ready, instead I had to ring 2 weeks later. That’s excusable but the next bit is awful. My sister, who knew the entire story, went to pick it up today, with me having sent her the receipt. The guy who served me worked hard to get her to pay £45 to pick it up, she knew something was up but paid it because I couldn’t answer my phone. Just spoke to her now and she explained all of the above, and without even needing to get me on the phone, they immediately ‘realised their mistake’ and refunded her. Absolute c**ts.

On a more positive note, I have an Alkin model one on the way from @BleakRefs and an green nylon sport strap from Watchgecko that @Stonehedge recommended

There are no downsides to a Seiko 5 Sports watch, other than they’re often a bit on the large side. And maybe that they’re not legit certified divers watches - no screw down crown etc - if that’s a concern. They still manage 100m water resistance though.
I bought that silver dial one for £150ish, put it on the nato I use for my turtle and I really dig it.

Nice, I have an skx so used to the heft, bonus if this one is a little slimmer.
Plan on a black NATO but have a Milanese band as well.
Arriving in 4 days, thanks CreationWatches, there's a 5% off code as well.

We'll see how it sits on the wrist, maybe on the forum for sellz, wrist cheese guaranteed
Went through the scrap/sample pile of leather from the Italian trade show in 2017, and made another one-piece leather strap this afternoon for the Omega.
Sits slightly wider so will take a while to bed in and stretch to the thinner lug size. 18mm strap, but the lugs are are around 17.6mm on the calipers.
Very dark brown, but a lovely texture, can’t remember which tannery this piece was from or I’d gladly buy a hide to make from.
Personally feel the dark brown works better than black, it sits somewhere between the dial and the indices.
Also way prefer custom straps with the perfectly placed single strap hole. Often straps are too tight or too loose for my feeble wrists.
