Noticed this afternoon that the fast food industry obviously keeps an eye on this thread.
Today saw the opening of 'Mythos Turkish Cuisine' down Ealing High Street, by that little triangle of grass, bordered by The Draper's Arms.
Even mespilus jr. noted the Greek influenced name.
It was offering an opening day discount.

Not noticed that, which is kinda odd because for the first time in ages I've been riding down that way a lot.

Ah replacing the Chinese that was there.

I think it was hoardings yesterday,
then like an early bud in Spring, in full bloom/kebab serving today.
Imagine the kudos of being a 'Founder Customer'?

The Eagle, Askew Road, had voted with its matches in Dry January,
so the log fire was unlit,
but there was plenty of space.

For what it is worth, this will be my first true 'Wests'.
Visiting a mate in more central London on Thursday afternoon,
so see how he is recovering from a detatched retina,
so will be cycling west to a 'Wests'!

Wests relocated last week to the Queens Arms, behind the Royal Albert Hall.
The pedant in me cannot help but point out that I cycled north to this pub,
so,
still have not cycled west to a Wests.

Every January is a Dry January for me :) Don't know what all the fuss is about!

Been busy juggling kid, wife, dog and work so socialising has been sporadic at best... hopefully that'll change soon!

My 'mate who travels a lot' needed collecting from LHR this week.
No repeat of last years coffee,
but,
the freshest Curry leaves I've ever encountered.
If it happens, I'll bring some along.
