I'm referring to the 36mm everest... If you're interested, you just need to go to the website on Tuesday.
No idea when the chonky daytona goes on sale.

Btw... I'm not sure I'm following this gmt... I set the red had to the current hour a few hrs back , but now its behind... Am I missing something?!?
Is it following a 24h and therefore the ring? -

I'm quite surprised at how thick the Smiths one is. I know that there was a proboem with finding a thinner chrono movement that could be ordered in sufficient quantities and at an acceptable price.
Might not look so bad in real life. Interested to see more photos. It looks like a rare swing and a miss for Timefactors though. Sad times.

The bracelet is underneath in the photo which makes it worse but the angle on the chrono ring is fucking ugly.

It's probably a standard automatic with a chrono module mounted on top. Automatic chronos are usually bad enough but that way things end up even thicker.
Would like to see the crown side, I bet the pushers aren't in line with the crown, which is the usual giveaway (even if they try to hide it).

Nah, it's a Seiko N88 so it's a proper chrono.
The N88 is a hair thinner than a 7750, although the 7750 is a fairly thick movement.

N88 is apparently a chrono module on top of a pre-existing Seiko auto…

Cheers. A fair bit thinner than the 40mm then

I guess we'll have to agree to disagree. I know there are plenty of people on watch forums saying that the NE88 is a module on top of an existing movement I think they are wrong and it I think it's actually a new ground up movement that used an existing movement as a starting point. It was designed to challenge the 7750 after all.

Yeah, it should be. Here’s a side-by-side of both the new models. No view of the relative thicknesses, but gives an idea of scale:

Yeah, Eddie's teaser photos often don't show his watches off to best effect, but I'm not at all sure about this one. Still, the other recent designs have all been bangers - I think I'm going to go for a 36mm Everest.

Nice but still doesn't quite compare

Not even close...

Ooh, where's that picture from - tz-uk? I've been keeping an eye out for updated pictures, but haven't spotted that one.

True, but it’s easily the best 1016 ‘homage’ out there, and it doesn’t cost the same as a very nice second-hand car.
The super old black dial? Not sure exact model, the omega site isn’t working on my phone for some reason. I believe it’s about 1942 and a cal.30 movement inside.
