hmmm, I'm half tempted.
Is the kid version really £50 better than the non-kid version? I'm not a prime subscriber.
I do have £48 of Nectar credit burning a whole in my pocket, and only a few hours until the Argos offer expires.

I believe they will replace it many times over 2 years.

64GB Pixel 3 is £639 from CPW with a Pixel Stand thrown in. Sorely tempted...

Huawei's CFO has been arrested in Canada for extradition to the US

I had been very tempted by a Huawei Mate Pro 20 as my next phone.
Not so much now.

I just got a Pixel 3 XL, goddam it's nice.

So you were happy to do business with the People's Liberation Army, but less keen now that you know they are friends with the Supreme Leader of Iran? That's like saying you only went off Stalin when you found out about the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact.

No, it was due to the recent news about untrusted Huawei hardware, not this arrest. I had assumed they were connected.

From Saturday Google are offering £100 off the Pixel 3/XL with a £75 store credit. Will probably do that, get a Pixel Stand and sell it on, but apparently at the popup shop on Regent St they're offering some kind of exclusive gift; not sure if you have to buy at full price or not...

And apple. And Samsung. And....

Got the Pixel 3 today. Initial thoughts are that is lovely.
Have a Pixel Stand and Google Home I don't need, anyone interested in buying them?
-

I'd be interested to hear people like the Pixel 3s after a week or two of use, once the shiny-new feeling has worn off

2/3 days in and I'm loving it. Feels good to have a proper good phone camera again, and Night Sight is some voodoo shit
If I was going to be honest the screen brightness at lower levels compared to other lower end phones I've had is pretty shit; normally I would be able to see stuff at 20/30% fine, minimum you need for the Pixel 3 is 50%

What's the best sub £100 handset I can pick up quickly whilst we wait for insurance to kick in?

Might be interested in your Google Home.
Can you confirm exactly what one it is and asking price to keep within forum rulez?

Main gripe so far is no physical shops have stock of screen protectors or cases yet, got to order online.
Also the launcher is slightly different, rather than having a button to show previously opened apps you now swipe the home button up slightly, it's not as neat. -

£90 delivered (although collection available from Elephant and Castle), cheapest I can see online is Clas Olshen at £99.99

£90 delivered
You'd need to pay me a lot more than that to accept such a thing.

Just been given a new work phone.
There were some bits from my personal Google account I needed so I logged into Google.
It has, of course, picked up and loaded all my phone numbers into it. I'd prefer not to have them clogging up the contact list, just want work related numbers on it
Any easy way to remove them without deleting them entirely from my Google account?

Sign out of your personal account, or if you need bits of it then go to accounts in settings and choose what you sync, get rid of contacts. Alternatively most contact/dialler apps let you just display contacts from certain accounts, even though they're all on there in the background.

Thanks for confirming, but looking for the mini version to save some pennies.

Wife has upgraded, anyone interested in buying her Pixel 2?
Generally good condition - apart from a couple of small scratches on the screen, which aren't really visible when the screen is on. Unlocked, comes with Spigen case & charger.
£250

Interested in the stand? Will dm
I have to admit that I have never actually used one, but everybody I know who has bought one really rates them.
