Cheers, yep medallion is in good nick. I thought your Elnix dial looked great and then the seller dropped the price of this to ridiculous.

And it's loose! He's using his arm against his body to hold it! He's scared, poor little rabbit.

Does it need to be a new one? there's alway some on tz-uk. I'm not a huge speedy fan but there was one on there a while ago, a Schumacher edition with a yellow dial. It was strange, as in so odd that it would probably offend the purists and was so off message (fully murdered-up time pieces) that I loved it. That's the only one that's piqued my interest. Anyway, why not just buy a used one? Allow for a service and you can always sell it on if you don't get on with it.

It’s really whatever takes my fancy although price will be a consideration.

Why not just buy something you really like regardless of model? It sounds a bit like you've decided you want a speedmaster and you're trying really hard to convince yourself you actually like it.
This.
What am I missing here?
IRL it doesn't look good on you and you don't actually like it.
Move on.

Looks like water damage. On the plus side it makes the dial quite interesting! Have somebody check on the movement to make sure it's clean, I think. Good luck :)

• #31593
well the dial was supposed to be like this. so i don't know if that's dirt or discoloration from whatever.

Like I said, probably water damage. Interestingly the date wheel looks clean so the movement might've been cleaned and repaired already.

Dial might clean up.
But I think it looks nice and special like it is.
Leave it and call it tropical/patina/that Japanese expression? -

Looks great as it is!

If you're prepared to risk losing the "Grand Quartz" I would expect that to clean up with a mild detergent solution and cotton buds, or even in an ultrasonic cleaner
A child is wearing the £8000 Omega. That's why it looks so bad.
