Addendum, @SideshowBob : it seems that Team Boule d'Or also rode on yellow Merckx frames back in 1984 (but these had the older "Eddy Merckx" font)

I bought a tidyish AL264 team with veloce for £140 (that hadnt sold for months for £300ish). £950 for a even pristine one with daytona is madness.

Turned up the wrong size with multiple problems. Including
Cog was the wrong depth that meant he fitted a spacer, this meant the lockring couldn't engage enough. Sprocket came undone while riding damaging some of the threads.
The bike as two dents, one on each chainstay. Driveside looks like it is a bodged attempt at chainring clearance, the other seems like another botched attempt at tyre clearance, but just on one side.
Rims aren't true and the tubs are put on wonky.

I brought this to his attention when returning it (due to being 1" smaller than it was sold as) yet he has left it all out of the listing.

Not sure if this is a good place to ask but does anyone know anything about Atom?

Gather they were based quite near Manchester but don't know quite when they were operating. Would be interesting to know if they were operating in the early days of the racing scene at the velodrome there.

I believe they were made by Andy Thompson who went to make frames at Orbit (might have been fire in his workshop?)
I think he might have stopped sometime in 80's?
