Gutted to hear that The Mermaid, E5 has closed its doors. Great pub, was just often very quiet.

Anyway, drinking an Augustiner Edelstoff. It good but i'll stick to the helles in future.

Forgot I had a bottle of Founders DKML. It was be June. 14.2% doubt it'll spoil much. Mustn't let it get any worse still.

With the Parkin and a BA Molé last night this has been a relatively heavy weekend in off just 3 beers.

Really liking gypsy hill swamper.

This is very good. Doesn't taste like a 13% beer. Does get you very squiffy. Danger booze.

That sounds good. My LBS growler offering is all light 4%-6%ers. I've asked for them to consider stuff like this but I think I'd be a niche market customer!

Ooh! I'm a big fan of the regular version.

They had regular too. I'll give it a whirl sometime soon.

Duvel tripel hop citra - think I prefer the regular version, but not half bad.

Went along to Cloudwater yesterday, such a good addition to the area, prices were reasonable I felt and the space basic but well thought out -plenty of toilets for example.

List was a little bit samey yesterday imo, apparently they ran out of stouts etc on the two industry preview days.

Super Noble and Blackberry Sour were my personal favourites, the all season pale is great too.

Already planning my next visit.

Me just has another A.W. 18 DIPA at my local.

Mother Kelly's Bottle Shop on Well St has just had a refurb and had a 'launch' night last night. Much more bar like now with more room to sit in and drink. Worth checking out if you're in the area
