So are you selling on that CdF that you just built? What size?
-
• #3007
yes, 52/small
-
• #3008
I know you weren't keen on posting the other bikes you sold if you have the time I might be interested in buying the frameset. Or are you selling it complete?
-
• #3009
complete, no time to split or post!
-
• #3010
Yeah it's a faff, nae bother
I'll be forced to buy a Holdsworth though
-
• #3011
I have. Not due to abuse, not due to bad maintenance, it was only 800km old. It just leaked.
It was so easy to change it though :)However, can anyone confirm that it is possible to use 2 piston mtb calipers with the road STI's? I feel like SLX or XT should be more sturdy than the road specific calipers

You can plug them in and they'll work, but they might not 'feel right'. I wouldn't bother myself. There's no durability benefit, they work in the same way, you just got unlucky.

Aha.. Thank you for the reply. The replacement caliper has been problem free, and i figure it was just teething issues with the 785 road hydraulics.

• #3014
Agreed. Much faff. Panniers ftw.

Dibs extralite if 12°- 110mm.
Good call on the Spork, any paint plans or going to leave it bare?
-
• #3017
What's the forum recommended 160mm centre lock rotors for road bike? Will be using Juin Tech F1 callipers and really don't want them to squeal.

squealing has nothing to do with rotors
-
• #3019
Ignore amey. RT99s are arguably the best looking rotors ever made:

arguably
I prefer the RT81 without the silly fins

I have my dyno routed internally through Spork fork.
Did you buy the Spork locally or get it shipped over from the USofA?
-
• #3022
me? Dimitry will be getting it from them directly.
-
• #3024
Had it shipped over. Got hit with import tax as expected, but at the time couldn't find anything else that did what the Spork did.

Cheers. May well be going down the same route for one of my next builds, the Brommers Bikes Fast Tourer (TM).
No bar luggage ever, at the max wahoo mount, fuck bikepacking
