What are you going to do about the rear brake situation?
-

Hoping to be able to make an xt(r) v brake work on such a wide rim, or maybe a magura hs22.
Ooooor get a disc tab welded on. But its also kinda a shame since its so nice right now, and i also have a pretty fucked rockhopper i was planning on doing that to first.

Inappropriate use of Chris King 10/10

Please don’t weld, it’s so nice as it is, but having said that I think it’s going to be a struggle to make V’s work with such a wide rim
There are other options though

I hope you plan on putting the beige Fat Franks on that. Be a shame not to ;)

Just run it fixed with a bolt on cog. no need for any rear brake....

I think he's got a coaster hub/wheel somewhere...

Hah it would start to look a lot like your bicycle speedway thing. That still going strong?

Haha i used them as a placeholder to see if they fit in the frame. They do! 2.35"is super plump looking on such a wide rim. But im going to go for something black
I really like the look of HolyRollers, but weigh so much. Maybe a vittoria tattoo lite

It’s decorating the bedroom wall atm. There’s some cog/lockring slippage that I can’t be arsed to sort out because I have too many bikes and too little time.

Bummer. Such a sick bike, couldnt believe my eyes first time i saw it. Isnt there some way to convert a front disc hub to 120mm for a bolt on?
-
• #471
It’s probably just a question of dismantling and reassemble with or without a spacer.

I wanted to see it with wheels on.. excuse the phone pic

Your Instagram is like my favourite. Just wondering, how come you see so many weird/awesome bikes? Related to your job in some way or is it just because of the Scandinavian high bicycle number density?

Cheers man! appreciate that.
A mix of both i guess. Im a mechanic (and graphic designer / SoMe guy) for a mobile workshop company, so i meet up a new place every day, meaning i have a different commute every day. And yea there is just heaps of bikes around. I just keep my eyes peeled and post things catch my attention ;)
Whats your user on instagram again?
This bike is gonna be silly alright!
