I started reading bits of that, the story seems very good.
Gabriel did "suicide forest" and the art in that is very nice, also worth a read.

Finally finished Y:The Last Man, jeez it got emotional at the end which I did not expect from a graphic novel. Such a good story and thought provoking without being too right on. Would really like to have a go at Saga now as everyone says it's just as good. Blasted through the Gaiman/Buckingham Miracleman, so so good and immediately wanted more, can't imagine what it'd be like for the people waiting a quarter of a century, still apparently it's being plugged away at currently. Bought all the Sandman whilst they were on sale at Comixology, can't believe I used to read them on my phone, barely does the artwork justice, some of those whole/double page spreads are amazing. One that I liked that I haven't seen mentioned here is Wormwood: Gentleman Corpse, pretty funny humour with a scratchy loose art style with crisp digital effects that I really like, ymmv

Ahhh, that's the guy who illustrated 30 Days Of Night. Great artist.

Urgh, I've become "one of those" people.
Bought 2 copies of the new Mark Millar, The Magic Order. 1 to read and 1 to keep.
Only single print of the 1st issue, so thought I would invested. -

Anyone been to the MCM comiccon before?
I was thinking about going to the October one at Excel centre, but unsure if it's worth it?
Announcements of who is guesting seems a little thin ATM (Dave Barista from wrastling and GotG movies, and doesn't appeal to me)

I went a few years back, bit if a giggle and I think had the Bike show on across the way in the same building so got 2 4 1
As said above, bit of a giggle, some sights to be seen of both good AND bad

I used to work with a woman who's friend was the organiser/promoter, she was always bigging it up, but she would...
Thought Bubble is more appealing to me. Lisa Wood/Tula Lotay can do no wrong imo.

I'm sure Anna Kendrick tweeted that she wanted to play her.
Erica Henderson is a great artist.

Humble have some audio comics from DC on offer this week.
Sounds like it's a full cast audio adaptation or inspired by, comics.
Green Lanterns, Batman, The Flash, New 52, your usual DC suspects.
Took a punt as it's for charity and all that.
Seems like a decent amount of audio entertainment for not a lot of cash. -

I just finished Ex Machina, and it is a banging read, with great artwork. It's Brian K. Vaughan (Saga and Y: The Last Man), and it's so good.
Finally finished Chew as well, feel sad about that being finished, I loved that. I really recommend both.
One I re-read is No Hero, anyone else read that? Another comic with fucking great artwork and some ridiculous imagery. Cock-less guy wearing a spine he just ripped out as a strap on and asking if he looks beautiful.
Also, has anyone else read Orc Stain? I'm dying for there to be more of it.

6 months after moving I finally unboxed my Akira collection and have returned to Otomo's masterpiece.
I'm on book 4 (of 6) and I'm blown away by both the detail of the art and the level of story telling.I think I'll start again as soon as I finish.

Anyone want to do some exchanges? Couldn’t see a specific thread for swaps.
Having an ongoing clearout and was going to sell them but I’ve just re-read a few and had forgotten how much I enjoyed comics/graphic novels.

Just found The Future is Now by Josan Gonzalez, it's half art book half graphic novel without speech bubbles. Highly recommended if you like the cyberpunk aesthetic
Got the hardcover omnibus of Vision by Tom King, Gabriel H Walta and Jordie Bellaire.
Bloody hell. So much better than most of the dross Marvel have been pumping out in the last few years.
