  • John C Reilly, Alan Partridge, uncanny:

  • Watched Creed on the tellybox this week..
aka ‘rocky goes to brookside’ calm down, calm down.. was a bit meh..

  • Watched Carrie this week. Bit "80s" and theatrical in places but still right in the feels... :'(

Get out was a nice play on loads of tropes, it didn't quite work 💯 for me but definitely a well done and fresh horror with black comedy moments.

Need to go check cinema listings bit lately nothing really catches my eye.

Zoo may be nice, I hope, as my son definitely wants to see it.

  • Watched that David Millar Time Trial film documentary thingy. Just like his books, it is beyond self indulgent, but lacking in any real plot/content/point. Some funny behind the scenes moments but would be better as a 25 minute youtube documentary.

  • red sparrow - boring and been done before
    rampage - actually.............nah its crap

  • Just watched mission impossible. Despite reviews I went in with scepticism. I needn’t have. Great action film. Haven’t been that sucked into an an action flick in a very long time.

  • Cool

  • Antmn and The Meg double header for me today.
    Nonsense Sunday.

  • Watched Detroit last night. Tough going, felt a bit torture porn ish in places

  • Watched it last weekend. Great entertainment.

  • The Meg

    “It’s a living fossil!”

    says someone.

“That living fossil ate my friend,”

    says The Stath.

  • deathpool 2.

a two plus hour episode of family guy with none of the charm.

    avoid.

  • The Meg at IMAX 3D this morning, you know what you’re going to get. Great FX, storyline was ok, pacing was good enough to keep me interested. A fun watch.

Apparently there’s also a Cert 18 gorefest version that got canned because the studio wanted to hit the teen market.

  • The Witch on Netflix. Pretty good, unnerving....

  • The Shape of Water: Meh. Looked great, some good performances (Shannon, as always), but ultimately the characters were a bit flat and the plot a bit thin.

The Long Good Friday: Absolute corker. Hoskins is quality, dialogue is brilliant, generally very enjoyable. A young (-ish) Bricktop from Snatch is an added bonus.

  • Wouldst thou like to live deliciously?

  • The Long Good Friday: Absolute corker.

Amazing film and what a soundtrack...

  • A young (-ish) Bricktop from Snatch is an added bonus.

Did you notice the girl who discovered the crucified watchman was Cath from Eastenders?

  • Revenge. French / Rossbif horror deal. it's pretty fucking full on. I don't think the amount of blood on display could humanly be contained in the 4 actors that appear in the movie.

  • I did not, on account of me not knowing who that is! Good fact to have in the pocket tho.

  • I thought it was great.

  • nah, guff on a stick.

DP (and cable) are rob leifeld characters, in spite of all the knowing fanboy nods to leifeld's undisputed shitness, it doesn't make his ideas any less shit.

fuck that guy. and joe quesada now that i think of it.

eta: Including The HMMMMHMMMMHMMM was a nice touch. Far better than previous efforts.

  • Watched Tallulah last night, enjoyable.

  • Anyone seen BlacKkKlansman yet?

  • Shannon, as always

    Have you seen Premium Rush?
