    S'ok.

  • I'm going to a screening next week at Everyman Kings X, they've got a Q&A with Spike Lee via satellite after.

  • Na, tickets booked for the 24th. Well excited.

  • I thought it was reasonably funny, compared to the reviews

  • Heathers on the big screen tonight, 30th anniversary re-release

  • How to talk to girls at parties. weird as fuck, bit of a nonsense but ultimately not a terrible way to spend an hour or two. Why nicole kidman is in it looking like David Bowie in Labyrinth though I am not sure, in a film as weird as this to still stick out like a sore thumb is quite a feat.

  • No, worth a watch?

Edit: Googled it, fixie bike courier flick. Oh my 🙈

  • Depends how seriously you take it.

  • Just as I see the talk above on How to Talk to Girls at Parties it features on Kermode's worst films of the year so far list https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JfcJlCrCSYM

I don't think I'll ever get bored of him going off on one about Peter Rabbit

  • it's very much in the mindlessly kill a couple of hours after work category and I'd not heard of it at all before watching so i had no expectations other than something stupid to pass the time.

  • pretty sure i hate mark kermode more than any of those movies (that i haven't seen in his defence)

  • Please give us a Peter Rabbit review

  • it looks terrible.

and i loved BP books as a young'un. in fact my mum has a collection of figurines in down for in the will.

  • They've shitted up Winnie The Pooh again, this time they have crazy japes in the big city to help Ewan McGregor restore his work/life balance.

  • I had Winnie The Pooh read to me when I was a kid. I knew Winnie The Pooh. Winnie The Pooh was a friend of mine. Hatbeard, that's no Winnie The Pooh.

  • cant beat whats on ITV2 right now

  • so let me get this straight

Yoda taught Qui Gon Gin, he taught Ben Kenobi, but also taught Yoda how to live inside the force after dying.... kenobi taught Anakin/Vader and Luke, but Yoda also taught Ben and Luke, and then Luke taught Kylo Ren and Rey.....

  • cant beat whats on ITV2 right now

    Sounds like blade runner

  • Eh?

  • Blackkklansmen tonight, Spike is back on form, very powerful finale, some fun/not so fun Agent Orange references dotted throughout.

  • The Spy Who Dumped Me, generic tosh. Mildly humourous in places, painfully obvious and scripted in others.
    Not really a recommend.

  • Hereditary, near perfectly paced first half, had me holding my hand to my head with my jaw agape for about 3 minutes at a certain pivotal moment as they manage to capture raw emotion /horror perfectly and do something I've not really seen done in a horror before.

then it almost immediately descends into a shitty by the numbers spirit horror where none of the stuff really connects with each other and the longer you think about it the less any of it has any real bearing on the ending. by the end they are just tossing out random horror tropes and cgi effects that looks like they spent all the money on the (amazing) model scenes shown throughout before reading the final act of the script and realising they needed special effects.

wouldn't surprise me at all to find out the first hour and second hour were directed by different people.

  • yeah i was underwhelmed by it for similar reasons.

  • oh no, we are become kermode
