That is ridiculous form after finishing the nordkapp tarifa, Anisa deserves some sort of award.
-
• #2756
she said she'll just turn her music up and press on
Just what is she going to do with herself if there isn't immediately a 10,000-mile follow-up race? :)
-
• #2757
She quit her job to do Nordkapp Tarifa. She was offered a new job to start when she finished. Then she went off and did TCR, so when she gets back she will have to find out if her new job is still available, or find a new one. I know her ass is so sore she isn't likely to race again for a week or two.

I see the Mash guys are finished. You would imagine that would put a massive strain on any friendship. I think I'd like the company (and drafting) a pal would bring but it would also bring a whole host of other problems.

I thought she'd got a new job doing ultra races? :)

@WornCleat
My friend Doug migden, who I met back when I was green on my first tcr. He's never made the party -but finished 3 soon to be 4 -
but this year with the extra day he's trained hard and is really trying. Someone for you to follow today and tomorrow as we will him on. He crossed into
Albania last night. He's about your age, a little older.

Anisa has finished and met up with Ede Harrison who she started chasing after she got her gears working in Innsbruck. Anisa was hoping to be first woman to finish but looks pretty happy to be second. This is only her second TCR! (and her third ultra endurance event)

Wow. That is impressive. I am willing his dot on.
He makes me feel indolent.

Oh and thanks for the well wishes you lot, appreciated. Still trying to catch up on what happened at the pointy end of the race. Need to pack bike but will try and see today's batch of tracers arrive

It would be nice if the TCR asked all riders for short bios, a portrait photo and twitter/Instagram addresses and published them on their website so we could know a little more about all of the dots.
Or is that a little stalkerish?

Doug is a really nice guy.
I met him in Fremantle at the drinks before Indypac. We knew lots of people in common. Doug then bought Mike dinner so he joined us, which was a privelege, particularly given what we couldn't know was coming.
Doug is a doctor so he also came round a few pharmacies in Fremantle to help me get various first aid things for the ride.
I was disappointed not to see him this time round when I heard he was riding again. I hope he makes the party; please say hi from me if opportunity arises!

been tempted to ride it with a pal more than once but i value our friendship too much to test it like that.

anisa seems a natural given all the issues she overcame.

Well done @hippy great ride especially after TABR.
@DiscoPotato rolling in!! Great to have followed from... almost the beginning of the journey?
Really happy for him! -

Will do. And he's gone equally out of his way to help me over the years. a true gent.

Congrats @hippy and well done @DiscoPotato and @MisterTomTom !
Today was frikkin hot, again. Most roads in Albania are nice but Tirana was a jungle. Was gonna do one more climb but the cook at the pizza place said "Don't be out after dark, Albania is very dangerous".
I shrugged it off with a "I'll ride fast then". But you guys know by now I'm a little wuss when it comes to "danger" so I checked in at the first hotel I saw :)
360 to go. Without any major problems I should be in time for the party.
