This for over an hour. Cars started clogging up the tunnel, others wanted to get through. Honking, yelling,... Raining, rocks falling.

Yeah not my choice. You don't get much about in these things, but overall I think it's good

Just showed it to my wife and she asked:

I met up with Will Armitage (mentioned in The Times article) just yesterday :-). He knows of the forum and has visited it a few times in the past.

Great update, thanks.
Id missed that Jürgen had scratched; that's a shame.
Anisa is doing fabulously; gradually moving up the field as the other riders tire... -
• #2745
Am I mistaken or has the scratch rate been lower this year? Hope I am right.
-
• #2746
No I think it's about normal. A little less than last year but 2017 was hard due to the heat and inflated the number.

If you’ve not come across this, it’s pretty interesting. Chris White has done some interesting stats about the races

Thanks. That is very interesting, especially the km per day stats at the end.

Closing in on the finish with 100 miles left. Im sure I'll need a rest to tackle the climbs properly but with such a lovely descent into Greece it's hard not to feel a little invincible and eager to see it off. Sunrise on the parcour would be a treat for sure.

#21, Anisa Aubin is under 100 miles from the finish. She sent me a voice message this morning with a hideous squealing noise. I thought she had caught and was strangling one of the dogs that had been bothering her but it seems a disc has buckled and is catching on a worn out pad. Her allen key won't reach the bolt so she can't really free it off, so she said she'll just turn her music up and press on. She looks likely to be second woman to finish, as Ede Harrison, who she was hoping to catch, has already finished.
Well done, you're on the home straight now!
Some people, including @hippy, who is most likely sleeping now, also got caught in a storm in pluzine in 2016. Was very hot when I was there though
