#204's taking an interesting little option in that area too...

The route I mapped - after looking at lots of alternatives - went more or less exactly between where Skinny and Bjorn are going.
There are lots of ways through the small roads in the Czech Republic. Probably there is not a massive difference between different options - a few km here, a couple of hundred metres there.
James has wound it in slightly. Maybe Bjorn will get an advantage if he avoids the climb up the back of the parcours, but it won't be a big one. The stronger rider will prevail! -

You have to do it North to South, but I guess there is nothing to stop you going down and back up it. Although I would have thought it's the kind of thing Skinny might consider to be against the spirit of the race?

Indeed. Based on the look of his Kona, it appears well toured.
While you are in the area, why not hit up some of the local attractions? like the Grossglockner for example.
If someone wasn't dead set on completing the race, I could see how the bucket list moves up in priority. -

I'm not sure that taking that route means they aren't set on completing.
I guess it's all about what motivates the individual. -

How is there such tracking difference between trackleaders and frrt toggle?

Quick update: reached cp2 in 45th. Now gonna finish the parcours. Got another tracker, again. So hopefully tomorrow I'll finally be one of the dots on the map.

I would love to have a go soon enough and see if I can he competitive. @skinny has kindly offered to bring me up to speed on how to prepare etc which would obviously be a great head start.
But... after this year, I have unfinished business with the 24 first so it's a career as an avid for watched for now.

Mind you even when in parts of Europe you can take any bike on a bus, Mr Seaton can show em how we do it in England!

Probably a dumb question, but how do people indicate that they scratched? Currently looking at Gary Clark (79) and it doesn't really look like he's still riding.
Ha bucket list tour by the look of it
