Full disclosure, that may have been their goal. This is a tight-knit, slightly xenophobic community, they don't take kindly to strangers coming here only for the bargains. Especially not if those strangers can't even take a light-hearted quip about aerial combat.

Hmm, the word "tight-knit" is fine.
But Xenophobic is not, if they really are like that, then this website has some issuesDisclosure: the jet joke was funny the first time, i showed it to friends and laughed, but jokes wear thin, and when the same guy keeps replying with useless statements, it gets on your nerves, when all you wanted to do was to see if anyone was selling a decent aero ROAD frame.

If you want to compare bikes thats fine, but don't just comment unrelated things on wanted ads, its un called for.
