Hey @xkittyx are the tyres on yours 2.8"? How's clearance?

Anyway, frame's on its way and I've ordered the wtb scrapers from PX along with various other bits. Will be moving most of the stuff from my current 26er to a smallish sunn frame + salsa fork I've bought for my wife. Unrealistic hopes of shared adventures abound.
Edit: Have also found a way to put a normal hub in the strange 141mm qr dropouts I think. Found a 142mm axle on ebay with a qr extension past the OLD so to speak. Means any 142mm through axle hub could work!

Here's what DT Swiss think. I wouldn't fancy trying anything less than a proper 2.8"

paintjob is awesome. how did you do it?
-
• #11514
Got it powdercoated first, then applied design with Posca paint markers followed by 2k clear from an aerosol!

This. They're really wide rims. I've ordered 2.8s, will let everyone know if there are any issues. I just have to build the wheels first...

Thanks, that's the sort of thing I'm after. I've sent an email to register, fingers crossed it's still there when I get through!

Thanks for the offer, but I don't think it'll look quite right with heavily hydroformed alu frame I hope this will bring new life to

They're 3 inches, clearance is plenty, a little stodgy sometimes with epping mud in the winter but epping mud is especially sticky.

Thanks. Went for 2.8s as they were on sale.
Steeper ST to compensate, to a degree (no pun)
