So the Arkose is gonna get ready for Scotland, however since I'm going to Spain in June, I'm thinking about fitting my low trail fork from my Elephant to the Arkose, so I can have a front rack to carry a little more stuff.
This Hope 1.5 to 1 1/8 crown race seemed like a great solution to run a straight 1 1/8 fork on a tapered steerer;
No reason why it shouldn't work, right? (apart from going from flat mount/thru axle to IS mount/QR).

Althought I plan to get the Seven Matador fork with 55mm rake (Pinnacle's own fork is 50mm).
-
• #3982
Yeah. No issues whatsoever. Planning on doing the same on the new bike for touring duties.

I've seen some extra thick bearings that cover the gap from 1 1/2 to 1 1/8. Basically do the same.

Yeah, can’t see why not, I have a fork with 65mm rake, so will handle better off road with a bigger front load than my existing set up.

Nice guards Ed (and the rest..looking good)

Those bars what are?
-
• #3987
Thank the seven gods you have the foresight to put a bottle cage mount under the downtube!

If you mean me, Salsa Cowbell, the newer one have 68mm reach which is perfect with those long hydraulic levers and a modest 115mm drop (old one is 76mm and 120mm).
46cm c-t-c is a lots of fun on the road even.

And only a slight flare.
Interesting.
Thanks Ed. -

And only a slight flare.
12 degrees flare, indeed.
that exactly why I liked it, it feel very much like a road drop, and happy to run them on a road bike, as the flare itself made it more comfortable to ride in the drop without your wrist getting in the way of the bar near the hood.
