No I'm suggesting the bike won't look so awkward with some 40mm gravel tyres. Its got huge clearances, making it look unnecessarily untukt with those 28(?)mm slicks.

My All City has the same. Never caused problems. It’s not like it’s made for crashing through rock gardens.

In the UK anything vaguely resembling gravel throws up a murky paste in the slightest bit of rain, and the slightest bit of rain happens a lot. And we don't have much gravel, our paths are mainly mud.

Wow that's crazy, same gravel throughout the whole of the UK.

Over here in the Netherlands there are huge differences in the kinds of gravel.

My hardtail is cabled like that - mud / gravel / whatever - it doesn't matter. 3000km on the original cables in all weather conditions.

Same here. CX bikes are the exception but that's a level of mud and muck that you're probably not intending to encounter on a gravel bike.

You could still run a completely closed system with compressionless inners. I have that setup on my CX & road bikes.

Gone full gravel mode on the Talbot ahead of a few days in the Beskid Niski mountains on the Poland/Slovakian borders next week.
