That’s my old place of work as a school-leaver, I used to deliver all the parts from goods-in to the various build shops and machine shops. Every day was a thrill, it was when Cosworth Racing as it was then called under the control of Ford U.S. had McRae and Sainz in the WRC Focus, Kenny Brack won Champ Car and they were building the CK V10 for Jaguar and Arrows. Cool place to work. /csb

My Aston came with the 6 CDs left in by the previous owner. All Angels, The Buddy Holly Story, James Last, that sort of thing. The typical music choices of a Scottish shortbread magnate in their 70s.
The Porsche came with 1 CD from Now 98 or something.

I do love a 6CD changer, but you can usually use them to hijack sound going to the factory head unit.

There's iphone interfaces for volvo that mimics the cd changer, letting you use the buttons on the wheels etc

Right so I'm picking new car up tonight, but living in a council estate in Hackney with no garage or driveway, I can't just put the BMW off the road, not this evening anyway. It's getting moved to the parent's driveway tomorrow day time (I tell my dad this is what he signed up for by taking me to Brands Hatch from a very early age), it makes more sense to buy a new policy for the BMW and then cancel it once all the stuff is sorted out on it (service, MOT, g/box service, detail), right? A price for 7 day temporary cover was £200 with £1500 compulsory excess, and there's no way I'd be able to get it all done and sold in 7 days. If I swap the new car onto my current policy then start a new policy for the BMW I think I'll pay less in fees because I've already paid a year on the current policy.

Have fun with that. DVLA are a pain to deal with and does not compute they made a mistake. One letter to DVLA, if the DVLA don't cancel the fine write to your MP.

Potentially, where are you based?
-
• #41339
Can you put them both on one policy?
TBh it depends what insurer your with, some let you do things, some don't
Keep the current policy you have going, as you'll get the NCB at teh end of the year, so worth that. -

Need new tyres so getting wheels refurb'd at same time (saves paying the tyre fitting costs), and super cheap off black circle.
Keep OEM colour or go anthracite or black?
-
• #41341
Oh definitely keeping my current policy going, was just thinking whether it was better to start a new policy and cancel, or get a temporary day by day policy. I'm thinking starting a new one and then cancelling would be the better and cheaper option.

Surbiton but could meet within reason

Didn't say congrats, great purchase mate, which engine is it?
-
• #41344
definitely don't go black but anthracite seems to be more and more popular, but if it's not crazy expensive, I'd say shadow chrome.

530d newer one.
And thanks
Yes anthracite is a good shout. Though looking at it I think the OEM silver provides a nice contrast.
Perhaps like black.

Water dip?
-
• #41347
Yeah, then do that. Just ask them what their cancellation policy is.
See if you can get it done in 14 days and you should be within cooling off period then!
What have you got?

• #41348
I like the black versions of these wheels. More modern diamond cut ones don't work but these look great...
-
• #41349
Yeah I've been suggested that not just by you either. Seems cheeky but sensible.
