I posted in this a bit earlier, htf did it get a 15 certificate? It's a lot more violent than the reviews indicated, we left after about twenty minutes so it may have calmed down a bit afterwards.

Watched Annihilation last week. Thought it was great. Really got into my head. Now reading books.

Also watched Call Me By Your Name on Sats. Beautiful film. Stunningly good.

Watched Paddington 2 at the weekend, Hugh Grant was great.

Lady Bird.

Lovely movie. Not winning any diversity awards in a hurry and suffers a bit from the fact that the people that do exhibit any sort of devation from white middle class normalcy, exist merely as characters upon which the director can hang an opportunity for the titular character to show some sort of development / use as a learning opportunity, which is annoying.

well worth a watch regardless.

I enjoyed it but it lacked punch in places. Maybe i chose the wrong one...

Hopefully Lady Bird is still around in the next couple of weeks.

Suburbicon on Amazon Video. Had wanted to see this when I saw the posters. George Clooney had done some decent work. Coen brothers as writers.... don't bother. Was a really pants film. I only watched it for it's late 1950s setting and that didn't make up for the films ridiculous storyline and lack of substance. Goes from 0 to 100 in the space of five minutes. Has this weird race relations sub-plot that has nothing to do with the storyline whatsoever. Boring film. Bad work. Disappointed.
