what is this? The reflection .. so good. Pushed? Over exposed? Great contrast and latitude .. how?
@mi7rennie those shots are great! I fucking love Ektar. I was wondering with a negative film like that is there any point in shooting transparency?
Also whats a good meter app for Android?

from the film/shoot I was fretting about a while ago - Portra400 pushed +1 on Leica M3
(hand-held in what was available light in January)

Neat colours!
Makes me think about getting professional scans next time I'll be +1'ing Portra 400.. -

Ta. They're the standard FilmDev scans with no sharpening - Noritsu rather than Fuji Frontier (as a data point for whoever is comparing)

This is one of those that turned out quite ok, colour-wise (scanned with portra UC 400 preset in SilverFuck and tweaked a bit), yet basically zero info in the shadows there.
Oh well.. -

I quite like an app called rlm simple reflected light meter.
Opens like a camera, ou frame the shot, hit shutter and it gives the answer. (Film speed is preset in the menu)

Last couple of medium format shots for a while. Got into a bit of a rut with it, and when it's so expensive per shot it's kind of frustrating to mainline it.

Back to shooting with 35mm. It's kind of liberating having auto-focus, a range of focal lengths on a zoom and metering in camera.
Also, really liking Ilford XP2. It's got that tonal range and sharpness that TMax and Delta have, whilst also having the grain of HP5 and Tri-X.
