Hmmm, I'd like to keep the original pickups on there TBH, they do sound great... I haven't played much guitar this week, will have to grab the Les Paul out of its case tomorrow and investigate...

^nice!
Does anyone want a free 1x12 or 1x15 (I can't remember) guitar cab? It's great, just surplus to requirements. It's a Blackstar so not amazing quality but decent enough and sounds great.

Excuse my ignorance, but cabs are just speakers, and you buy a separate amp to sit on top? I've only ever had all-in-one things.
Currently I've got a Line 6 thing with loads of effects and backing tracks etc. It's quite nifty but what I actually want is something plain and analogue.

Just got a second hand Orange Micro Terror without its dinky cab, so maybe if it's a 12". Which model is it? I mostly ask to get dimensions and weight stats.

Exactly! all in ones are called combos.

I'm not actually sure - it's either 12 or 15, but it's about the same size as a blues junior if that helps. I can't find my receipt to check

Sounds like a 12 to me. In which case, yeah, I'd love it. Will PM.

This page got me looking at custom 12” cabs for my champ. Dammit

Was looking at this place as a cheap but not shit option before providence stepped in.

Oooof these guys do a 1x12 cab for a SF champ chassis.

I know nothing about this stuff. i used to know a lot about old fender amps but that's mostly forgotten now too. Meh.

Messed around for a couple of solid hours tonight just strat -> re201 -> ac15*. Might have to keep the space echo after all, it’s sounding amazing and I know I’m not inventing the wheel there but the combination of all three together is rather special.
*technicaly I also had a tuner pedal/buffer in front of the echo to stop the tone suck.

Very cool.

How noisy is your RE-201, my RE-20 is well noisy... It flutters even when it's turned off, not sure what to do about that... I'm told it's the LED...

Main noise is mechanical in the room - it’s surprisingly quiet through the amp, although by no means hi-fi. I’ve been running into a mic input which overdrives very musically.
Are you using the pedal with a power plug? I know some delays can be sensitive to switch-mode supplies.

I'm getting juice from my isolated 9v power supply, shouldn't be a problem really...

Hi nerds. I'm about to resurrect my guitar playing after a 13 year hiatus. I've got an Epiphone G-400 Deluxe back in Manchester which I'm going to collect soon. I'd like to do everything I can to it to improve it.
I'm eyeing up Seymour Duncan JB and Jazz pickups and some push-pull pots for coil split (might as well). Is there anything else that can be done that I haven't thought of?

It's not even white...

But it's a bit Jimi... But not very, should have a '63 headstock to be like Jimi's famous one...
-
• #5549
At that price you can just sell it on if it doesn't excite you while playing it, and not lose out.

Nice - love the headstock. What’s your opinion on maple fretboard? I kinda wish my Strat had rosewood :/
Pot all the things!
Been playing a bit here. Only issue with leaving the pedal board out in the living room is that My 2 year old daughter loves to twiddle knobs and press buttons so I have no idea what's going on most of the time. I was playing my patented Luther Perkins style version of 'wheel on the bus' for her yesterday while she provided two different delays, fuzz and a shit-tonne of spring reverb. It sounded great!
