  • I've tried that, doesn't work. I think I just hate going to bed, I'd rather be doing stuff.

  • I'm the same, sleeping has always felt like wasted time.
    But I'm also more conscious of the science behind muscle recovery, sleep deprivation over-eating, etc. which is why I do stuff like set the alarm because it reminds me that I'm not "missing out" by going to bed earlier I'm actually giving my body more time to repair and get faster.

  • I eat it but I weigh it, one portion is 250 kcal (umph!) that's 70% of my work commute... (which involves a 2 mile uphill lately) it's fine with Skyr/Fage 0% fat and berries, but it's tricky one.

    Pistachoes, you are not pregnant no? :p
    Joking aside, maybe there's something in them that you need.

  • I keep trying Skyr and I keep not liking it.

    Pistachios: I don't know what it is but they have to be salted and the funny thing is I always disliked them. I'd never have eaten them a year ago.

  • I find the trick with Skyr is frozen fruit: When it defrosts it leaves a lot of juice, this gives flavour and makes it less thick.

    I find pistachios too much work and they taste "weird" but clearly salted pistachios contain something you need/want so why not build them into your macros?*

    *a whole bag is a lot of cycling tho

  • I don't do macros. I barely do MFP calories as it is. I just boost carbs on training days (and clearly days when I do fuck all... I'm looking at you Vienetta!)

  • I suggest pistachio ice cream.

  • I hate that. For years I've seen green ice cream tubs and thought "Yes! Mint!" only to see those shitty little pistachio bastards on it somewhere. Years of ice cream disappointment. Now that I like the nuts I'm scared the ice cream might be nice too so best not to try it.

  • Skyr fills me up but just doesn't taste of that much. Now, full fat Yeo Greek yogurt, that is gorgeous.

  • I like other, flavoured yoghurts. I know they're probably full of sugar and shit but they're better than eating cakes or chocolate bars or some other shit.

  • Also, a full vienetta!! They must have got smaller since I was a lad as they used to feed my family (of 4) back in the day.

  • I don't need to make them easier to eat!

  • They used to feed our family too, but that was before I could afford to buy a whole one to myself.

    I did used to put away a full 2L tub of Cadbury's Caramello icecream (holy shit I loved that stuff!) though so a Vienetta isn't a challenge.

    A whole tub of green and black's organic cholate icecream on the other hand...or a box of Lindor's/bar of high quality chocolate, a few hundred grams ff nice cheese.

    The cost will keep you from doing it too often as well ;)

  • @dst exact same weighing routine as me.

    Gonna move to a different scale tomorrow (going to parents for a while) so not gonna get too excited/sad if I see a big change, though I did pizza beer and crisps last night and basically every sandwich in boots is £1 today so if there is a step up, it might not be the scales...

    I never understood how places like weight watchers can get away with 1 evening weigh in a week, and reward it if it's good.

  • Weighed myself on Boditrax today and BF is still at 14% (though slightly down).

    Best way of continuing to target that fat in terms of eating and exercise? HIIT?
