  • Calculating calories burned from doing weights. Worth it?

  • I don't include mine, simply because MFP doesn't have the values and ain't nobody got time for that.

  • I did an hour of (heavy for me) weights inc. 5 mins treadmill yesterday and my fitbit reckoned it was 500kcal, which I thought was optimistic. Am ~75kg and 178cm.

    Not insignificant either way, so maybe worth it?

  • That sounds about right to me - that’s roughly what I expect to burn in an active 45 mins of weights

  • Had managed a good fat shift over the past week, but then got the actual 'flu (yet another perk of the job) and seemingly reversed that now. Full of death spewing from lungs even when walking.
    70kg.

    Hopefully, start weightlifting next week.

  • Can't seem to shift the last 1.3kg.
    Trying to get to 67kg for maximum speed up hills over summer. Down from 82kg 2 years ago. My weight has a strong correlation to the amount of booze consumed.
    Been feeling constantly hungry and moody. Need some hanger management. Need to change my diet so I can feel fulfilled.
    Put loads on over Christmas. Booze related. Given up the booze for now.

  • Some people feel more full on higher protein diets, with lots of veg.

    So perhaps increase veg/lean meats and fish can help?

    Dieting for too long/hard can also work against you, maybe slowly going to maintenance, then fix your diet and cut down again can also help.

    It's also a great weightloss in any case! 15 KG :)

    I think I was just under 90kg before TABR last year and just over 90kg after TCR. Actually, let's see if I wrote them down..

  • 2/2/18 103 kg
    9/2/18 102.1 kg and weight lifting started.

  • Two tubs icecream, pizza, kebabs, burgers, beer, it all went horribly wrong yesterday.

  • And I feel bad I had one slice of pizza, some chocolate and a glass of whole milk over my calorie count 😂

  • I had one slice of pizza... then I followed it up with a whole pizza. Oh and a packet of pistachios.

    And I've spent the whole morning trying to track down bike parts so haven't even done any exercise. FML
