  • I've not entered either yet. I'm putting them off and off and off... hmm

  • Took me quite a while to actually answer the questions! Would really keep out anyone uncertain about entering!

  • I don't normally answer the questions. I just write jokes about the likely state of my undercarriage.

  • I wondered why they had disabled the picture uploader

  • Right, have entered! Wish me luck!

    good luck

  • Thanks, what's the best strategy for lighting? What have you used in previous years @skinny @hippy. Dynamo?

  • Good effort - how old's the baby now? Will you be able to get the training miles in?

  • I use a dynamo with Supernova lights.

  • Ha! Baby was 1 in Dec, eldest is 10.
I'm not getting any younger and luckily, I have a very understanding partner :)

  • Chapeau @7ven, just entering this thing is a huge statement.

I've never followed TCR before and have regretted that.

    Well and truly subbed.

  • Having a bit of a play with the route. So many possibilities for Start to CP1 and CP3 to CP4. Probably not much chance of being accepted but a boy can dream.

  • It's drawn out of a hat so you have a good chance! Some places go to past riders, but most are for up for grabs

  • Woow, this looks fun.

  • Submitted my entry last night.

In the "Tell us about your TCR history" I just wrote "Haven't you heard enough about my gooch already?" and then added it so it actually contained specifics in case there's someone boring reading all these.

  • I put mine in last night too.
With the entry form they're just trying to weed out the ones who don't take it seriously, make jokes in the answers and take the piss.

  • But if that was actually the case I wouldn't have got in last year :)

  • Did you put that you were Australian or British?
Was kind of wondering as I have dual nationality if I would stand a better chance?

  • I can't actually remember. I normally enter stuff as an Aussie because I consider myself an Aussie with a British passport, not British. But then sometimes I'll put UK if I think they're likely to get fussy about passport or insurance details. Where do you live? If you put Aussie but provide a UK address like I do it's not going to fool anyone :)

Was deffo Aussie for TCR4 but can't find start sheet for 5.

  • I've lived sarf of the river for 15 years but am and still consider myself a kiwi. Not sure why but always tend to put that I'm British on these types of forms.

  • Thanks to you guys for all the input and updates, I’ve just spent a whole evening reading umpteen pages of brilliantness and laughter from TCRN05 and tons of inspirational stories over the past 2 races opted to put my name in the hat to become one of the crazy gang instead of dot watching. Currently at the excited stage and waves of WTF have I done 😜🚴😆 Hoping to get a place and #BeMoreMike in 2018.
